The Dream (by Naomi Shihab Nye) Sometimes a dream lands so hard ***Dreams Meetup Thank you to all the dreamers who participated with such enthusiasm in the Spring ’07 Retreat and for becoming/continuing the virtual community of dreamers that holds such a special place in my heart! It’s always so difficult to describe the weekend retreats to those who were not in attendance as it feels like handing someone a cup of sea water and saying “this is what the ocean is like.†The depth and breadth of the experience is too vast to encapsulate in a couple of paragraphs. How do I describe the full sensory experience of starting the morning with Irene’s gentle yet invigorating yoga, followed by listening to Star’s heavenly music while eating breakfast and then ending the day with an inspired intuitive reading and late-night dreamwork hot-tubbing? Or, how do I tell the impact of witnessing the mind-blowing revelations stemming from Mike and Irene’s Dream Portrayal or the visual shifts of consciousness for dreamers in Circle Dreamwork? Is it possible to describe on paper the crystal clarity of Marianne’s magic bowls bringing us all to the same vibration or the encyclopedic knowledge of our friend and teacher, Jeremy, all with the stunning visual backdrop of Brenda’s powerful six-foot tall painting?? We’ll be discussing how all dreams come in the service of health and wholeness and as an example; I’ll share excerpts from the movie “Appointment with the Wise Old Dog,†which documents renowned orchestra conductor David Blum’s journey of self-discovery during his struggle with cancer as he captured his dreams in an illuminating series of drawings. Spiritkeepers Interfaith Fellowship is a place for experiencing group wisdom through sharing with the community. The morning is comprised of Peace Dances, Walking Practice, Presentation, Prayer, Meditation and Music. All are welcome. The fellowship is supported by donation.
