March 2007 Newsletter

Today with Spring here finally we ought to be living
outdoors with our friends.
Let’s go to those strangers in the field
and dance around them like bees from flower to flower,
Building in the beehive air
our true hexagonal homes.
(From “The Whole Place Goes Up”, Rumi – Coleman Barks translation. To read the poem in its entirety, click on ‘visit our website’ at the bottom of this newsletter and go to the blog area)

Hello Fellow Dreamers!
I hope this email finds you well and dreaming abundantly! I wanted to select a poem for this month honoring spring after such a long and arduous winter here in Colorado. Wow, now I will never take the term “cabin fever” lightly! All of us long-term residents of this area are very accustomed to our “300 days of sunshine a year” and our sunlight bank account was getting very low. Needless to say, the recent return to warmth and light has done wonders for my soul!
For those of you who haven’t already seen it, I was recently honored to be featured in the “Practitioners Spotlight” in the Feb newsletter on www.WhisperingTree.net . Here’s the direct link: http://whisperingtree.net/index.php?c=50&a=112&w=2&r=Y The full interview will be posted on my website soon. The interviewer, Colleen Quinn, did an excellent job of capturing the spirit of our discussion and conveying my passion for dreamwork. While you’re at the Whispering Tree site, check out all the wonderful resources they offer for all of us who are seeking reputable alternative healers and energy workers.
The Spring Dreamwork Retreat with Jeremy Taylor at Sunrise Ranch, May 18-20 is just around the corner! I’ve already received several pre-registrations. The brochures are at the printer right now and will be mailed out soon. This will be the eighth retreat at Sunrise! I’m so grateful to all of you who have attended regularly over the past years and look very much forward to meeting any new dreamers who will be joining us this time around. Each retreat has its own unique personality and style and they all live on in my heart as some of my most precious memories. To reserve your spot or for more information, call 303-929-6122 or email me at wakeuptoyourdreams@earthlink.net.
The Boulder Dream Group meets the first and third Wednesday of every month. (Dates are listed on my web calendar on the “News and Events” page.) Remember it’s important to RSVP as the group is limited to six participants. Please call 303-929-6122 or email me at wakeuptoyourdreams@earthlink.net Drop-in rate $25 ~ $20 when you sign up for two or more sessions.

Dream Images Altered Book Workshop

facilitated by Star Edwards
Red Delicious Press
9901 East 16th Ave in Aurora Arts District
Sat, March 31st, 9AM-6PM
What is an altered book? An altered book is any book-old or new-that has been recycled by creative means into a work of art or an altered book can be an existing book that has been changed …glued, painted, collaged.
I’ve seen pictures of the work that Star has created into Altered Books and they’re truly amazing!
Personal Note from Star:
“A big part of making the books is to be in the spirit of “play” so the unconscious can work through us without our interference, and seeing and holding the dream in our hands gives the dream another dimension to speak its message! How fun is that!”
